Using makey makey, I created a board/ drum thing to play a game called snake because the game snake is simple and your using the keys now with the little controller connected with a bunch of wires makes it different and easier During this process, I learned how play doe can be used as a tin through the wires to control the game
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to a knowledge constructor because i knew some things about wiring so it was pretty easy to hook the 4 wires up to make my thing go forward, backwards and side to side
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to connect all the wires up to the 4 play tin pads then hook up the earth. I was able to do it by using the alligator clips up to the tin foil tabs a alligator clip then held the earth to my elbow
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how i made the tin foil arrow keys i would make them with slots that your fingers could rest on so you could pay attention to the game you are playing and i would make a space bar type thing so there would be a wide verity of games you could play The reason why I would change it is because the you have to look at the the card board arrow keys so it would be better to just use the weirs from the maky maky controller This project connect to careers in developers that make controllers for gaming or just controllers for people with a disability.
