Using tinker cad , I created a Hastings charm because we are thinking of ideas of stuff that we could sell in the high school store that will make the school money. During this process, I learned how to cutout the square to make the outer walls of the charm lettering in the area so its not just some floating letters . The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because i designed my own Hastings charm that even has a Caribbean loop so it could go on a key chain or a lanyard . A challenge I overcame on this project was making it so the words would show up this was difficult with my old design so i could not see the words because the filament color was the same. I was able to do it by making a square then cutting it out then i put words in it.Given a chance to do this again, I would change my idea because a charm that is 3D printed can not have a clip to go on a key change. The reason why I would change it is because it does not serve the best perches compared to stickers and it would coast more to make then we would be loosing money. This project connect to careers in big office buildings making stuff that could be used for every day designs or for nerf modders that make 3D printed stuff for just Nerf guns.
