Empowered Learner
Empowered learner means to set a goal and choose the tools I need to achieve my learning goals.I can learn how parts of the monitors and tools work by exploring its features. I can show how I'm learning by using the features of the monitor. I can explain how to fix easy things on the monitor like why the audio isn't working or why a document isn't printing.
I can responsibly choose what to put on the internet and other networks to create my digital reputation. I know that whatever you post on the internet is permanent and can't be deleted. I can follow the laws of social media. I can tell the difference between private and public information.I understand the limits of data management.
I can use the internet to find information for projects or stuff like that. I can use a browser's history feature to find previously visited sites. I explore real world problems and understand them. I understand when I want or don't want to trust information I find on websites when doing research.
I can use the internet to communicate with others outside of school to help me identify and understand global topics. I can come to the same conclusion using different testing methods and materials. I will use the design process to solve authentic problems. I can brainstorm ideas for the questions I have.
