Daily Log:
Day 1: Finished the list of 10 and the planning questions.
Day 2: Started to work on a project.
Day 3: Finished the project and waiting for it to print.
Day 4: The controller works!
Day 5: Finished the reflection questions.
Using tinkercad and makey makey , I created a working controller because I wanted to test my skills on makey makey. I also wanted to make sure that it could work on the computer.
During this process, I learned the 3d printer doesn't like hollow objects. I also learned that the makey makey needs playdoh, or aluminin foil.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I uploaded the video on my website so the world can see it. it also connects Computational Thinker because the controller worked with the computer. A challenge I overcame on this project was making the buttons work. I was able to do it by using aluminin foil. I also make the controller hollow on the inside of it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the print. The reason why I would change it is because it did not do well. It was way to hollow for the 3d printer..
