Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team Maverik, Grady and Maxen
What materials will you need for your project? Cardboard, ducktape, and Scissors
What is your plan to create in this project? Building a fun game for your whole family to enjoy
What unique qualities will your project have?
Grady, Maverik, Maxen and I were making a game for everyone to enjoy we needed ducktape, cardboard, scissors, washer discs and paper. We agreed to have the game be called Washer Toss.
I made the rules (bottom of this page) and took all the photos. I was sick for the finally day of the project so I missed out on the final product.
The Photos turned out sideways for day 1-4
First Day I finished the 25 and planning questions
Day 2 we did planning and building
Day 3 Building a second course
Day 4 we broke our project
Day 5 we had someone test it out and finished the rules
Day 6 I was sick
Day 2 beginning of building our project :The project took awhile to start out because we had to cut a bunch of cardboard.
Day 2 middle of building this project :This is after we cut out all the cardboard
Using Cardboard, I created Washer Toss because we need to earn money.
During this process, I learned that teamwork is harder than it looks.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because we were teacher each other what to do with the cardboard.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having good teamwork. I was able to do it by talking with my group.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the course. The reason why I would change it is because it was very difficult.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering Design because we were building a useful item out of cardboard.
Day 3 building the second course :They were putting nerf symbols everywhere (as obstacles) and it annoyed me a little.
Day 3 building our second courses : When they were putting the nerf signs everywhere.
All the pictures into a video
Our rules for the game : I made the rules and they are fair rules.
