7P2-Micro:bit

• Using a Micro: Bit, I created a step meter, nametag, love meter and a message sender because it was fun

• During this process, I learned that coding isn't the easiest

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I was using stuff I never used or learned how to do before.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was coding the message sender. I was able to do it by using blocks.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the step meter . The reason why I would change it is because you can cheat.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in computer programming because I needed to use blocks to code and tell the microbit what to do.
