• Using Tinkercad, I created a door hinge because we just got a new door. I wanted to help my parents.

• During this process, I learned how to get precise measurements.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I am Designing a object (door hinge) to solve a problem (for my new door).

• A challenge I overcame on this project by how I was going to make the door hinge I was confused where put the holes, which side was left or right, and if it will bend. I wasn't able to do it because I failed the bending part. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the measurements. The reason why I would change it is because it doesn't work.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design at Hastings High School. The careers this could connect to are 3D manufacturing Technician.
