Design thinking can be used in many ways. But it’s mostly known as outside the box thinking. Most designers try to use different methods other then step by step problem solving.Design thinking is the intention improving product or creating them. Some people get confused at the fact of what design thinking is, but they don’t seem to realized we’ve been using it since we were little.
When we were kids we used to build lot of things like towers, bridges, buildings, anything we imagined. After building whatever it was we made it usually fell down due to making it too high or accidentally knocking it over. So we’d cry, laugh or whatever else you did and would try again, just as an instinct. So we really have been using design thinking since we were young. As we got older we might have forgotten how to use design thinking, so here are some ways to help remember how you use it.
There are five phases of design thinking. The first is to empathize with your users. The second phase is to define you or your groups needs, their problem, and your insights. The third step is to talk and listen to others ideas and brain storm creative ideas until you find the one you plan/decide your going to use. Step four is where you test your ideas, and start finding solutions to the problems your going to find. Lastly is phase five which is where you test your solutions until you find an answer to your problems. Remember that you don’t have to use these phases or steps in order. Think of the phases as a way to help build your object, not a step by step order.
