what is your plan to create this project?
to create a fridge using a cardboard
what unique qualities will your project have?
ability to make things using a cardboard
started thinkig what to do on my 4th project
in my fourth project i will be doing carboard making.
this is the base of the fridge
i put the carboard door on the base
this when i put the other cardboard
i finalize the fridge
Using a cardboard box, I created a model refrigerator because I wanted to demonstrate how a fridge works and show creativity in reusing materials to make something functional and realistic.
During this process, I learned how to plan, measure, and design a 3D object, as well as how to make everyday items using recycled materials.
My project ties to the Innovative Designer standard because I used creativity and problem-solving to design and build my fridge model from scratch, using limited materials in a new way.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the fridge doors open and close properly. I was able to do it by testing different hinge ideas and using tape and paper fasteners until it worked smoothly.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way I decorated the fridge and make it look more realistic, because I think adding more detail and color would make it more visually appealing and professional.
My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in product design, engineering, and appliance manufacturing because these fields involve creating, testing, and improving functional designs like refrigerators using creativity and technical skills.
