<------- Our video.
Using an iPad, iMotion, Legos and iMovie, I created a short movie set on the titanic because I love the movie titanic. I also made it because i thought that it could be fun because my partner also loves the titanic. Our story is not a retelling of the titanic but a comedic interpretation with many liberties taken.
During this process, I learned that stop motion takes a lot of patience. I also learned that working with a partner on this project made it move very fast. Another thing I learned was time management.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because we came up with the entire story line of our movie. It also connects to Global collaborator because we will be putting the movie on a website anyone could see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was time management. I was able to do it by staying in for lunch and working on it. I also overcame it by working efficiently with my partner.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time given. The reason why I would change it is because I feel we couldn't do our best work while in such a time crunch. I also would change the way our story progressed because it was tedious and took a long time.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this CTE program because we designed our boat and the story line.
My project connects to careers in Stop motion animation because we animated our characters with stop motion. It also connects to Stop Motion Animation because we were very patient while making the movie. Another reason why it connects to stop motion animation is because we paid very close detail to how they moved and how the story progressed.
