7P3 - Micro Bit

Reflection

• Using my Micro Bit, computer, and speakers, I created lots of games and songs. I made music because it was fun to make different noises. I made games because it game me things to do and i got to play with other people.

• During this process, I learned how to code. I hardly knew how to code until we started coding. it started making more sense the more I did it. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I solved problems that exposed themselves during the coding process. One of the problems was having to figure out how to connect speakers and use the advanced coding.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to do the code. I was able to because I asked questions to others and tried to find different ways to code them. After I tried different ways it got easy.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fact I didn't try more new things. The reason why I would change it is because working on new things is really fun once you get the hang of it. If  I do get the chance I definitely will.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  The reason is because we used Micro Bits.

• My project connects to careers in Software developer because they build computer systems. We had to do the same thing when we did codes for the Micro Bits. We also had to test the code to see if it worked.
