Daily Log
1: We started with the little pink mini robot.
2: we finished making a triangle, sqaure and rectangle
3:we started working on our new robot Dash
4:We had to make our tire launch pout of the catapult on dash's head
5: We couldn't get him programmed the day before so we had 6to code him and then we are starting the drawing robot
6: We starting on the robot that draws things, we lost the video of the Bolt so we redid that also
7:Today we had to work on the bolt robot to make it jump
8: Now we have to put the jumping and party bomb for the Bolt robot on the same video
9 did an extra credit project tomorrow I will make my 5th project I also finished my reflection
10: we didn't have enough time to do our 5th project
Dash
Bolt
Reflection
Using Robots, I-pads computers etc., I made a jumping party-bomb, iRobot writing a 3 letter word, Dash throwing a tire and a Sphero Mini making a triangle and a square shape because they were assigned to us, but me and my partner made an extra credit project also.
During this process, I learned how to code a robot and how to code them. We had to code them to make the robots make shapes, draw things, jump, ect.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because my partner and I used knowledge/things we already know and constructed/ built/programmed Robots.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what app to use for what Robot. I was able to do it by looking on my I-pad for what I think it would be and asking others for a guide to the app.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the program for Dash if we didn't have complications at the beginning we would've had more to time to fix. The reason why I would change it is because we could've just made it go across the line not stop and lift it's head up because his head was already tilted all the way up before it started moving.
