X-Ray

Medical imaging took a significant leap when X-rays were discovered. Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered X-ray in November of 1895. In 1901, he got a Nobel Prize for his discovery (Hussain et al.). An X-ray works by sending out ionizing radiation that travels through the body and is captured on a screen.
