Ultrasound imaging was originally used as a diagnostic tool for brain images. Nowadays, ultrasound is used for many different practices in diagnostic laboratories and clinics. Some pros to ultrasound is it is free from radiation, comparatively less expensive, and very portable compared to other imaging devices. Ultrasound has many uses in the medical field, but also has some side effects, such as chromosome breakage with low frequency, chemical effects, and hormone change (Hussain et al.).
