Disabilities are not a reflection of who you are but of how your brain works. Maybe eventually we won't even call them "disabilities" anymore. Understanding how you learn is the first step to success. Please use the support services and ask for help when needed. Hartnell College faculty fully support the American with Disabilities Act. If you know or think that you have any learning or physical disabilities please contact the Department of Supportive Programs & Services located at https://www.hartnell.edu/students/programs/dsps/. If you believe you may need an accommodation such as materials in an alternate format, preferential seating, sign language interpreting/real-time captioning, access to assistive technology and/or test accommodations, etc… please feel free to discuss your needs with me in private.
I know it's frustrating when you need help and feel alone. Although you are learning online, I am here for you! Provided that you maintain close contact with me and your class members on a regular basis, we will do our best to support each other. If I notice that you are not participating fully or missing assignments, I will reach out to you and nudge you along the way. However, I encourage you to not wait until you feel you are in over your head or are behind or confused on several activities.
If you have a personal question, your best bet may be to contact me via the Canvas inbox. This is the quickest and easiest way to get a message to me.
If you have a question about the course--especially a question your peers might be pondering, as well--please post it to the Q&A discussion. I will respond within 24 hours (maybe a little slower on the weekends), but better yet, like crowdsourcing, a peer may jump in and answer your question sooner than you think!
Hartnell's Panther Learning Lab is here to help you succeed! You can reach a tutor using the online format. Click on the link below to access their canvas shell where you will be able to zoom or make an appointment.

In this course, you are going to be asked to work with technology, and, well, technology doesn't always work the way we think it should! To stay sane, you will need to develop a balanced approach for technical woes:
For technical difficulties with Canvas, you may call @ONE's 24/7 Canvas Tech Support line at (877) 703-3736 (from our course, this number can be accessed by selecting "Help" in the Canvas global navigation menu).
