Kelis Webley
In 1924, Louis de Broglie was discovered. Born: August 15th 1892- March 19 1987.
Louis introduced the ideas that particles, such as electrons, could be described not only as particles but also as waves.
The experiments he did were predicting the wave nature of electrons. He determined the wavelength of an electron and used it to explain the electron orbits of the Bohr model of an atom.
De Broglie Bohr Model- Treats the electron as a particle on a ring with wave-like properties. His hypothesis was that matter has wave-like properties.
Application of Louis de Broglie waves - It's used in the construction of electron microscopes. Electrons behave as waves and they can be used to help make objects in a way that is quite similar to light.
