College and Career Readiness


The Adult Education Center employs a full time College Career Specialist who assists students and graduates with career development and planning. Among the services provided are:

  • career counseling

  • college and vocational school applications

  • financial aid and scholarships

  • job search and employment applications

  • resume writing and cover letter composition

  • interview preparation

Certified Social Worker


Our certified social worker supports students with a number of life issues that may prevent them from achieving success. She can make referrals and connect you with agencies in the city.

She is responsible for helping individuals and families cope with problems they are facing, in order to improve their lives.

Meeting with our social worker can help you get access to resources and services you need during this difficult time we are facing due to the pandemic.



Free Child Care Center


Our free child care center has been suspended temporarily due to COVID-19. We hope to reinstate this service soon.



Technology


We have computer labs available and also offer adult learners opportunities to develop on-line skills through the use of laptops and various free software programs.



Bus Passes


Bus passes are available for transportation from November through March.
