CHAD HERO:
What started as a chilly morning, turned into a nice day to run/walk a 5K or 1 mile. It was wonderful seeing all of our families together running for a great cause.
Thank you for sharing your children with us this season!

(not all of our runners made it to the photo)
WEEK 6:
Bracelets for Laps- where the runners can see their hard work pay off. We run the same distance circle, same time at the beginning and end of the season. The runners try to beat the number of laps completed. The crushed it! Thank you to all families who were able to come out and cheer on the runners. We had a blast playing Hula, Hoop Rock Paper Scissors with everyone.
Marisa Donovan from FOS joined up for our last practice. Her email with all the pictures from the day said, "I love the community spirit, the fact that families attended, and so very many smiles on kids' faces. It was really lovely to see!"
Our topic for the week was gratitude.
WEEK 5:
The weather has been all of the place this season. The end of the week was HOT! We ended the final practice of the week with designing capes for the CHaD HERO! We will get a team picture with everyone in their capes at our last practice.
Our topic for the week was fairness.

Movie Night!
Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for movie night. We raised $214 that evening- all proceeds going to the CHaD HERO and helping people meet their minimum donation requirements.
WEEK 4:
This week at practice we did some endurance running, played Hula Hoop Rock, Paper, Scissors, team hula hoop race (who can get the hula hoop down the team line the fastest without touching it with your hands), and some relays.
Our topic for the week was: humility
WEEK 3:
We started off with a great team building activity: cup stacking. The goal was for everyone to help place cups and try to get the tallest tower. One of our practices this week had to be in the gym due to all the rain!
Our topic for the week was integrity.
Stretching/Warms Ups
Cris Cross Relays
Leap Frog Relay
WEEK 2:
We ran our first 10 min run of the season: bracelets for laps. For every lap ran in the 10 minutes, each runner got a colored bracelet. Our goal is that at the end of the season, runners earn more bracelets! We had to work together as a team this week when playing continuity ball. The object of this activity was to see how many times we could take turns hitting the ball to keep it in the air.
Our topic for the week was: teamwork
Doing our greeting in circle time. This greeting was the baseball greeting.
WEEK1:
We beat the heat and survived our first FOS practice of the season. For the first practice, we did stations keeping in mind the temperature: sponge relay, alphabet exercises spelling the word HYDRATE, and human pretzel. We ended practice with some fruit flavored water and freeze pops. We are looking forward to cooler temperatures so that we can get more running in.
Our topic for the week was enthusiasm.
