NextGen Prospects serves as the foundation of every student’s DECA journey. It is designed to introduce core business, entrepreneurship, and competitive skills in a structured environment without the full performance demands or time commitment of the Competition Team. This level works in alignment with the Honors Entrepreneurship IA course, reinforcing classroom instruction through applied learning, real-world simulations, and introductory competitive experiences. It is ideal for students who want to explore business, develop confidence, and build practical skills while remaining actively involved in other academic programs, athletics, arts, or leadership opportunities on campus. NextGen Prospects allows students to strengthen the foundational skills introduced in Honors Entrepreneurship IA/B, gain exposure to competition concepts, and determine whether they are ready to pursue the advanced level in the future. Students who demonstrate exceptional performance, commitment, or a desire for a greater challenge may apply to try out for the Competition Team (NextGen Founders) through the formal selection process.

Eligibility Requirements

🔹 Be an Honors Entrepreneurship pathway student/completer

🔹 Have a cumulative GPA of 3.3

🔹 Participate in the Virtual Challenge

🔹 Attend monthly meeting (During Lunch Sept-Feb.)
