Honors Entrepreneurship students and DECA members from Valencia High School elevated their marketing campaign project to the DECA State Conference, earning recognition for their innovative approach. Demonstrating exceptional initiative, they went a step further by presenting their work directly to the company’s CEO—an impressive move that secured them an exclusive private tour of the company’s facilities. Their project, which seamlessly integrated entrepreneurship with advancements in the medical field, exemplifies the caliber and ambition of Valencia’s emerging business leaders.
In fall of 2023, Ms. Marquez received the honor of being the lead speechwriter for Latinafest, an event aimed at celebrating and promoting Latina entrepreneurs in Los Angeles. As an advocate for women in business, Ms. Marquez extended an invitation to all her students to attend the festival, but only one could attend. Junior Nadia Hussain was given the opportunity to participate as a stage manager, gaining hands-on experience and joining in the celebration of women in business.
