Unit 4
UNIT 4: CELL ENERGY
UNIT 4: CELL ENERGY
IN THIS UNIT WE WILL EXAMINE HOW BOTH PLANT AND ANIMAL CELLS OBTAIN ENERGY FROM THE FOOD THEY EAT. WE WILL BEGIN THE UNIT WITH A FOCUS ON THE ATP MOLECULE, AND HOW ENERGY CAN BE BOTH STORED AND RELEASED. FROM HERE WE WILL EXAMINE HOW PLANTS MAKE FOOD, AND WE WILL CONCLUDE THE UNIT WITH A STUDY ON CELLULAR RESPIRATION.

* Analyze overall reactions including reactants and products for photosynthesis and cellular respiration and factors which affect their rates (amounts of reactants, temperature, pH, light, etc.).
