HRCR is looking for new coaches! To expand our programming, we are looking for new coaches for rowers at all levels, from Learn to Row to competitive masters. We offer compensation per coached session. Sessions are typically on the weekends or outside of office hours on the weekdays. The time commitment is flexible: some coaches coach once per week, others coach several times per week.
What we offer:
$75 per coached session
Flexible scheduling: weekends, weekday mornings and evenings
Coaching frequency ranging from once every two weeks to multiple sessions per week
A supportive coaching environment with onboarding and, if needed, mentorship from experienced HRCR coaches
The opportunity to coach on the Harlem River in a strong, community-focused program
What we are seeking:
Experienced coaches available starting Spring 2026
Candidates that have or are willing to acquire the following certifications: Safe Boating License, First Aid/CPR, USRowing SafeSport, USRowing Level 1 Coaching Certification
Launch driving experience is welcome but not required
New coaches will be onboarded by experienced staff to become familiar with our athletes, programs, and the unique conditions on the Harlem River.
