Row With Us

HRCR currently offers two types of rowing programs: Learn to Row and Masters Rowing (for experienced rowers).

Learn to Row programs are offered several times per year for those completely new to the sport – more information, including requirements and how to register can be found on the Learn to Row page.

Coached Masters Rowing sessions take place on weekends (and depending on weather and availability, on weeknight evenings) throughout the spring, summer, and fall. These sessions are targeted at those with previous rowing experience, and are split into Skills Building for those returning to rowing after a hiatus, wanting to refresh their technique, or looking for a more relaxed row; and Advanced Skills, for those rowers wanting a more challenging workout. More information on community rowing, including requirements and how to sign up, can be found on the Masters Rowing page.

Interested coaches are also encouraged to visit our Coaching Opportunities page or contact Program Coordinator Pieter Lindenbergh at pieter.lindenbergh@harlemrivercr.org.

All sessions launch from our shared dock at Muscota Marsh in Inwood (northern Manhattan).

HRCR depends on the kindness of its participants, their networks, and the wider New York City community to ensure that we can offer all of our programs free of charge. Donations to support these efforts are always welcome!
