Hancock County Public Schools, Superintendent Mr. Robby Asberry, Assistant Superintendent Robin Poynter, and Ms. Tina Snyder with Hancock County Public Library hosted the first IMSE (Institute for Multi-Sensory Education) training for parents in August 2025 at the Hancock County Public Library.

Our Second Parent Training was held at the Hawesville Public Library. Betty Jane Mitchell- OG Certified Interventionist/First Grade Teacher at SHES, Kira Bean- 1st/2nd grade teacher at SHES, Alex DeWitt- Kindergarten teacher at NHES, and Briana Pulliam- District Structured Literacy Specialist presented some of the more important OG strategies for parents and guardians.
