FAQ's
What is the participation policy?
All players MUST be registered with IM Leagues before participating in any intramural game using their Hamline University student ID/ information.
The team captain is responsible for ensuring their team is put together and everyone has registered properly.
What if I missed the registration date?
Email campusrec@hamline.edu to get set up with the next steps and explore the option of possibly joining a team.
What is the Nomad Rule?
The Nomad Rule is a unique strategy that helps to mitigate forfeits. It allows a “Nomad” (rostered player from another team in the same league) to “fill in” on the roster of a team that would otherwise be forced to forfeit.
Ask and notify the supervisor at the given even if this needs to happen in order for the game to be played.
Can I switch teams during the season?
A player may not switch to another team after having played as a member of an original team. The exception to this is if a team is removed from the league due to forfeits, their players may join another team. If the team if removed for disciplinary reasons, their players are no longer eligible for that sport.
How do I know if a game gets cancelled because of bad weather?
In the event of bad weather, the Intramural Staff will decide on the current day’s games by 3:00 PM. Rain and/or snow are not automatically causes for the cancellation of games. It is the team captain’s responsibility to make sure that they are aware of any schedule changes. In the event games are cancelled, an announcement will be emailed to the participants.
What if my entire/nearly entire team cannot be at one of the competitions/games?
If your team is unable to participate on a given night, please contact campusrec@hamline.edu so they can make the appropriate schedule changes. This will also result in a forfeit of the matchup.
