Message from Mrs. Smith:
We hope all of our families are staying WARM with all of the cold weather we have been having. As we approach February, I would like to encourage all families to participate in the Heart Challenge. This is a great learning opportunity for our students. Thank you to Coach Bales for organizing this. On February 23, 2026 we will have our next "Coffee and Chat". We will have Mrs. Laney Park sharing technology resources. We hope you can attend. I would like to encourage all of our students to keep reading a HOME every night and practicing their math facts! Reading and math fluency practice can be very beneficial for your child. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns with their academic progress!
Bus Rider Families- Please remember that an adult has to be at the bus stop each day. If there is not an adult, the child will be brought back to the school.
Car Rider Families-
Please remember that you must drop your students off where our adults are stationed.
Students are Tardy at 7:45.
Car Riders ends at 2:45.
Please do not try to drop your child off in the parking lot or around the side of the building.
Thank you for your help as we are trying to keep all students SAFE!
Family School Climate Survey:
Please take a moment to complete the Family School Climate Survey. We need as many families as possible to take the survey. Your feedback is important to us and will help our school grow. Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 100% Participation!

Parents, please be reminded that we do not allow edible "Birthday Treats". If you wish to celebrate your child, please send in a non-edible treat (stickers, pencils, etc.) We have many students that have allergies and we are trying to keep all students safe. Thank you for your help with this.

Please remember that ALL visitors MUST show a Photo ID to enter the building. This includes bringing your child in after 7:45 to check them in tardy. We prefer that ALL adults step to the Front Door Camera to show their ID. Once you are buzzed in, you may step to the Front Desk for help. Please help keep our students SAFE by not holding the door for visitors if you are entering and exiting the building.
Bus Rider Parents: Please make sure that there is an adult at the bus stop each day to meet your child. If there is not an adult, the bus will bring the child back to the school. Please use the link below for instructions on how to download the Transportation Ap. This will give you information on your child's bus route and location each day.

Car Rider Parents: You must enter the Car Rider Line from the White Sulphur Road Entrance. Students do not need be dropped off until your vehicle has merged into the one lane that runs in the front of the school. We have adults to assist students in getting out of the car. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the back or side of the building. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the front parking lot unless they are checking in late. Students should enter and exit the vehicle on the passenger side. Thank you for your help with this safety concern.

Nerdy Nurse News
Medications: All medications should be brought to the school in a new, unopened container. Medication found on a student (without consent to self-carry) will be locked in the clinic until a parent is able to come sign consent or pick the medicine up.
Water Bottles: Students should have a water bottle each day. Please label your water bottles so we can return them if lost. Drinking water can help with headaches, sore throat, stomachaches, and help students to remain alert and focused.
💛 Quick Tip: Make Time ! 🗓️🕰️
Set aside 20 distraction-free minutes a day for one-on-one play or connection with your child — let them lead the activity, whether it's building blocks, reading, or just chatting
