Thank you to PTO for planning our annual fundraiser. We hope that ALL of our families participate in the ROAR and SCORE fundraiser. Please see the Remind information and the flyer that was sent home on ways that you can participate. Our school goal is to raise $20,000! I know we can! I hope that all families can join us on our "Literacy Tricks and Treats" night. This will be a Title I family event from 6:00-7:00 on Tuesday October 28. Our team has been working hard to make it the BEST! Have a wonderful week.
Parents, please be reminded that we do not allow edible "Birthday Treats". If you wish to celebrate your child, please send in a non-edible treat (stickers, pencils, etc.) We have many students that have allergies and we are trying to keep all students safe. Thank you for your help with this.
Lunch Visitors: Please click on the link below to review our "Lunch Visitor Guidelines" and to sign up to visit your child for lunch.

Please remember that ALL visitors MUST show a Photo ID to enter the building. This includes bringing your child in after 7:45 to check them in tardy. We prefer that ALL adults step to the Front Door Camera to show their ID. Once you are buzzed in, you may step to the Front Desk for help. Please help keep our students SAFE by not holding the door for visitors if you are entering and exiting the building.
Bus Rider Parents: Please make sure that there is an adult at the bus stop each day to meet your child. If there is not an adult, the bus will bring the child back to the school. Please use the link below for instructions on how to download the Transportation Ap. This will give you information on your child's bus route and location each day.

Car Rider Parents: You must enter the Car Rider Line from the White Sulphur Road Entrance. Students do not need be dropped off until your vehicle has merged into the one lane that runs in the front of the school. We have adults to assist students in getting out of the car. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the back or side of the building. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the front parking lot unless they are checking in late. Students should enter and exit the vehicle on the passenger side. Thank you for your help with this safety concern.
Updates from Mrs. York:

Nerdy Nurse News
Medications: All medications should be brought to the school in a new, unopened container. Medication found on a student (without consent to self-carry) will be locked in the clinic until a parent is able to come sign consent or pick the medicine up.
Water Bottles: Students should have a water bottle each day. Please label your water bottles so we can return them if lost. Drinking water can help with headaches sore throat, stomachaches, and help students to remain alert and focused.
Our Next Falcons Food Giveaway will be November 11th.
Emotional Regulation:
Name that emotion!! When your child is upset, calmly help them label what they're feeling. Naming emotions helps children make sense of what's happening inside them and activates the part of the brain that aids in regulation!
Building Resilience:
Support your child through their struggles, not around their struggles.
