Message from Mrs. Smith:
Welcome BACK! We have had an AMAZING start to our 2025/2026 school year. Our Tigers have been working hard to learn routines and procedures and how to "ROAR" by being Respectful, Outstanding Citizens, Always Safe and Responsible. Thank you to PTO for hosting our "Back to School Bash", we had a fun night as a Tiger family. As the year gets started, I appreciate you all following our Safety Guidelines. If you are visiting our school, please remember that you MUST present a photo ID before entering the building. Have a wonderful week.
Bus Rider Parents: Please make sure that there is an adult at the bus stop each day to meet your child. If there is not an adult, the bus will bring the child back to the school. Please use the link below for instructions on how to download the Transportation Ap. This will give you information on your child's bus route and location each day.

Car Rider Parents: You must enter the Car Rider Line from the White Sulphur Road Entrance. Students do not need be dropped off until your vehicle has merged into the one lane that runs in the front of the school. We have adults to assist students in getting out of the car. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the back or side of the building. Students are not permitted to be dropped off in the front parking lot unless they are checking in late. Thank you for your help with this safety concern.
Volunteer Information:
We are now welcoming parents and guardians to volunteer weekly, on half days or full days. We also like having parent volunteers during special events and Field Trips. Please see the link below for information on how to become a volunteer!

Updates from Mrs. York:
It's been a great start to the school year!
MAP Testing:
Fall MAP testing took place last week (August 11th - 15th) for all K-5 students.
Make-ups will be completed this week (August 18th-22nd)
MAP is a normed test that adapts to your child's responses in real time to measure your child's skill level. We test in both ELA and Math.
Teachers will be sending home a family report in the coming weeks to share your child's performance on this assessment. Please review over this information and let your child's teacher know if you have any questions.

Nerdy Nurse News
Medications: All medications should be brought to the school in a new, unopened container. Medication found on a student (without consent to self-carry) will be locked in the clinic until a parent is able to come sign consent or pick the medicine up.
Water Bottles: Students should have a water bottle each day. Please label your water bottles so we can return them if lost. Drinking water can help with headaches sore throat, stomachaches, and help students to remain alert and focused.
