Too Much TV?
Do you ever feel like your child is spending too much time in front of the TV? Incorporate reading into your TV time. Simply turn the volume down, and turn on the closed captioning. He/She will be able to read the words to his/her favorite TV show.
You’ve just incorporated 30 minutes of reading into his/her day!

Prevent the Summer Slide
#1: Keep books and flashcards in the car. Take them with you to the doctor, dentist, and on shopping trips. Remember, learning can take place anywhere!!!
#2: Create a schedule to ensure that reading and math will be incorporated into your daily routine. A Summer Schedule helps you gain direction and clarity. It also allows you to set a great example for your kids. Children enjoy knowing what happens next. The best part of all: A schedule keeps your children occupied and learning.
