WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY!

Welcome to 8th Grade

Welcome to a year full of excitement, personal growth and academic achievement. The 8th Grade Team of teachers looks forward to all the individual participation and collaborative projects that you will be doing. As an 8th grade student at Da Vinci Academy, you will be contributing and presenting in your museum, sharing information in Socratic circles and actively participating in classroom simulations and projects.

Volunteers are needed to help in the DVA Café during Homeroom (7:30 - 8:30), Lunch (11:00 - 1:00) and 2:30-3:15.  The help is greatly appreciated.  You can sign up for a single day, a day each week, or a time slot every day if you are available!  Click here to volunteer and enter in your hours!

Sign up for Museum Build Days!

Students will be checking out their graphing calculators (TI-84) from the learning commons next week to use in their math class. Students have an option of how to handle their scientific calculator (TI-30) needs for the year - this is the calculator they will use in science class. They can 1) buy a TI-30 (it was previously on school supply lists, so you may already own one), 2) check one out from the learning commons next week, 3) use one from Coach Greene's class set while in class, and then use an alternative calculator for homework at home.
