Volunteers are needed for several upcoming events!

DVA Field Day - Wed. May 24 from 8-12 - volunteers to run stations, provide snacks/water, and 1-2 "Captains" to organize the event
DVA Pack-up - Mon. May 22 anytime & Tues. May 23 anytime - volunteers to monitor students and/or help pack up classrooms
Summer Landscaping - anytime over summer - make level pads for our 5 picnic tables (wood frames filled with mulch - DVA will provide materials)
Chromebook Collection - May 17 - 19 anytime - collect returned Chromebooks in the Media Center

We could really use another case or two of waters! Mini-waters or full sized bottles. We've given away all we have and kids are still asking every day. Our hallway has no working water fountains or refill stations (we've asked) so kids have to go all the way to the cafeteria for water fountains or refills. The water bottles are a huge help.
If you would like to send in a class snack or drink for after Milestone testing, please contact your child's homeroom teacher about student allergies. :)
BOXES! Teachers have to pack up their entire classrooms at the end of every year, so we are in need of packing boxes. If you have access to any medium sized boxes, please send them in after Milestones. Used boxes are fine as long as they are in good condition.

Field Day is on Wednesday, May 24!
We are still about 20 volunteers short of what we need for a successful field day. It is a super fun day and might be worth taking time off of work to have fun with our DVA families and get volunteer hours completed. We will need volunteers from 8:30 to 11:30 at Alberta Banks Park (Ivester Early College if it is a "rain day" plan). Please drop your students off at school first--they will be getting ready with their homeroom team and arriving by school bus. High School age DVA alumni that are 16+ years of age may volunteer with their parents and any adult DVA alumni may also volunteer. If you are checking your child out after field day you MUST do so from school. They need to ride back to school on the bus.
We need at least two volunteers for each station on the sign-up.
