It's hard to believe it is May and our Warriors only have a few weeks of school left! Our 3rd-5th Grade students are finishing strong with Milestones testing this week.
We have some exciting events in May, as we wrap up the school year. Yearbook Signing Day, Awards Ceremonies and End of the Year Classroom Celebrations are happening soon. Parents are invited to these events (please remember a state-issued ID will be required for ALL visitors so arrive early enough to get signed in), and we're looking forward to having some fun with our Warriors! Students will sign Yearbooks on May 13th during block class, and we'll honor our Graduating Seniors on May 19th. We will wish our 5th Graders well as we honor them on the morning of May 20th (8AM) before they head to middle school. Please see the information below for our End of Year events and teachers will be sending home more information as well.
Enjoy these last few weeks of school with your students! Thank you for giving us the privilege to serve your children and this community. It has been amazing to see how much our students have learned and grown together at CMCSI. We hope you have a wonderful summer, and as always, let us know if you need anything.

Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior!
At CMCSI, we communicate with families primarily using the Remind App. However, over the next two weeks, this App will be going away but we will be able to use our new communication platform, ParentSquare. Please check out this short overview video on Parent Square! We'll be providing additional information once our administration team and teachers have been trained.

We are excited to share that we will be using a program called PurposeFull People this year. This program teaches skills that will help students be successful in school and in life.
We believe that students should have safe, predictable places to learn where they feel included. Students should have healthy and helpful connections with teachers and classmates. They should also experience learning that will help them tackle challenges inside and outside of school. PurposeFull People is more than a set of lessons - it is a partnership between schools and families to create a place where students feel like they belong and learn skills that will help them be the best they can be!
Please check out this month's family letter below to reinforce the lessons students have received about this month's topic: creativity.
Be sure to review these flyers regarding summer support and camp opportunities for Warrior families. You may reach out to our counselor, Sonia Stewart, with questions.
Additional summer camps are also available. Please check out these links for more information.
CMCSI Yearbook Sales were held online this year. PTO has a few extra Yearbooks to sell, if your child did not get one. These will NOT be sold in advance, but will be sold on the morning of May 13th in front of the school on a first-come first-serve basis for $40 each CASH ONLY and EXACT CHANGE. ALL Yearbooks (pre-ordered and purchased the morning of May 13th) will be delivered to students in their homerooms by the morning of May 13th for Yearbook Signing. Thank you to PTO, our Yearbook Sponsors & Yearbook Team for organizing this amazing memento for our Warriors!
We appreciate the support of volunteers at CMCSI! Hall County Schools and CMCSI continue to make the safety of our students a priority. In order to keep our students safe, ALL volunteers must complete an application and training BEFORE volunteering at CMCSI this school year. Once BOTH steps are completed, volunteers will be notified of approval within 2 weeks of submitting their application. Approval must be received BEFORE any volunteer time is approved.
Please visit this link to complete the Checkmate Application AND the Mandated Reporter training (Keyword: HallVolunteers) Be sure to "Apply for New Role" to complete the Application.
Volunteers must have a pre-arranged appointment with teachers or staff to assist at CMCSI. Please sign-up to volunteer for school-wide events (Walk-a-thon, Field Day, etc.) with PTO here.
Volunteers must sign-in at the front office with ID and wear a badge while in the building. ONLY volunteers who have completed the required questionnaire and Mandated Reporter training will have the option to sign-in to volunteer on the kiosk.
Volunteers must follow any required safety procedures in effect at CMCSI, which are subject to change.
Volunteers may not bring siblings, children or other visitors with them into CMCSI.
Volunteers are Mandated Reporters as defined by the State of Georgia. All volunteers are required by state law to report suspected abuse or neglect of children to school administration immediately.
Please email richard.bass@hallco.org with questions about volunteering!
All medications need to be picked up by the last day of school (5/20/25). All medications not picked up will be discarded unless prior arrangements have been made with the Nurse Shaunda.
Over the summer break plan to get all medical care plans (asthma, allergy, seizure & daily meds) updated from your child’s pediatrician so those are ready by the first day of school next year. Make sure all medication prescriptions are current & up to date. Don’t forget to schedule yearly physicals and update all immunizations that are needed. Please provide the schools with updated immunization records at the beginning of the school year.
Please email Nurse Shaunda with questions or to request any forms needed for the upcoming school year.
Please remember to visit the CMCSI Lost & Found before the end of the school year. All items left at CMCSI after May 20th will be donated to a local charity.
Save yourself time by signing up for Parent Portal now! Parents will complete Open House information, view Report Cards, check attendance and many other things via Parent Portal. If you have not already done so, please sign up for Parent Portal for your child here.
