New at CMCSI
We have a new phone and intercom system.
We have new signage throughout the building.
Thanks to our amazing PTO we have new murals in our K-2 hallway, 3-5 hallway, and also new signage in our gym.
We have made updates to our K-2 playground.
We also have a modular building made up of 14 classrooms that is near the the 3rd-5th grade playground. This building is the location for the Dual Immersion Pre-K Center South in addition to also being the location for our special education pre-kindergarten class, elementary support program, and our gifted resource classes.
We have a new School Resource Officer who we will share with one other elementary school. As a result, he will have a dedicated office space at CMCSI.
Please take a moment and review the Hall County School District Code of Conduct linked below. Upon completion, please sign the acknowledgement form in our Back to School Enrollment paperwork.
Hall County Schools 2025-2026 Code of Conduct
Be sure to also take time to read our Parent and Student Handbook linked below. Upon completion, please sign the acknowledgement form in our Back to School paperwork.

The HCSD Transportation Department uses a bus routing software called Ride360. For information regarding this app, or for instructions to download the app, click here.
For the safety of students, staff, and families, elementary schools in Hall County will not be allowing parents or guardians to walk students to classrooms with the exception of the first and second day of school on Friday, August 1st and Monday, August 4th. We will have staff members available each day to ensure students get to their classroom safely beginning August 5th.
Parents and guardians can have lunch with their child again this year! All elementary schools in the district will begin having visitors for lunch beginning Tuesday, September 2nd. This year, CMCSI will again welcome visitors for conferences, meetings, awards days, performances, special events, etc!
For the safety of our students & staff, all visitors will be asked to check-in at the front office, wear a visitor badge, and show state-issued ID for each visit.
We love our CMCSI Volunteers! Are you interested in becoming a volunteer in your child's classroom or volunteering at some of CMCSI's special events?
Volunteers are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training EVERY YEAR and a background questionnaire prior to volunteering, which can be found here.
Again this year, we will have volunteers in our school and ask that volunteers schedule with teachers/ staff in advance so that instruction of students is not interrupted.
Previous Volunteers will have to complete the compliance modules to update their Volunteer status each school year exaclty one year or later from when they modules were originally completed (they are good for one year).
We are excited that each homeroom will once again have a Room Parent, which will be organized by our PTO Board. You can volunteer to be your child's Room Parent here.
For the safety of our students & staff, all volunteers will be asked to check-in at the front office, wear a visitor badge, and show state-issued ID for each visit.
Email richard.bass@hallco.org with questions about volunteering at CMCSI.
For the safety of our students and staff, during morning drop-off for car-riders, all parents must remain in their car and go through the car-rider line. With the exception of the first two days of school and new students registering during the year, there will be no parking, walking students into school or to the front door, or sending students across the crosswalk. Please plan accordingly, and arrive early enough to go through the car-rider line.
Our tardy bell rings at 7:45 am each morning.
If students are late, parents will use the outdoor camera/ call button. Students will be escorted in by a staff member after notifying our front office using our intercom system.
Please have your child exit your car from the PASSENGER SIDE each day, for their safety.
Bus Information (Drop-off/ Pick-up times) can be accessed via Parent Portal as well. Directions are here. If you need assistance with your Parent Portal account, click here.
Bus riders will begin loading buses at 2:20 each day.
Bus Information (Drop-off/ Pick-up times) can be accessed via Parent Portal as well. Directions are here. If you need assistance with your Parent Portal account, click here.
Car Riders will begin at 2:20 each day and ends at 2:45. Please remember to have your child's car rider tag visible in your car each day. For the safety of our students, if there is no car rider tag visible, you may be asked to park and will be moved to the back of the line. Without a car rider tag, parents must have ID to pick up a student, and due to the additional time it takes to check ID, your pick-up will be delayed. If you need additional car rider tags or a tag replaced, email cmcsi@hallco.org.
Please have your child enter your car from the PASSENGER SIDE each day, for their safety.
Please do NOT change lanes in the car rider line. We are staging students in the order your car rider number is recorded, so changing lanes causes delays and confusion for others. THANK YOU for your help with this.
Daycare buses will load once school buses have pulled away.
If your child is attending YMCA Afterschool, you can sign up and find information here. Students must register IN ADVANCE to attend YMCA .
During the year, please try not to check out your child early, as our teachers are maximizing the time for instruction daily. If your child has an appointment and must be checked out early, parents will use the outdoor camera/ call button. Parents or anyone checking out a student, will still need their state-issued photo ID to do so EVERY TIME, in order to keep students safe.
All check-outs must be completed by 2:00pm.
Want to save money? See if your family qualifies for FREE or REDUCED-PRICE meals by completing this application:
Please remember that applying for free and reduced-price meals may also qualify your student for discounted fees for college entrance exams and scholarships.
For further questions, please contact School Nutrition (770-534-1080) or your local school.
Students can also bring their own water bottle (to use in our refillable water stations) each day. Water fountains will also be available.
Voluntary Student Insurance
Parents of students attending Hall County Schools may choose to purchase student accident insurance. The plan provides coverage against medical expenses resulting from accidental injury to your child.
Student Assurance Services is the provider.
