We are excited to announce that PTO is hosting a Girls Night of Fun at CMCSI on Thursday, April 18th from 5:00PM-7:00 PM on the CMCSI Field/ Track.
**PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE** Due to the weather/ storm forecast for this week, the NEW date will be Thursday, April 18th. Hot Dog Ninja is not available, but Frozen Frenzee will be there.
Based on our parent feedback we are opening up this event to our girls and their parents this year (not just dads). This event is totally FREE for CMCSI parents/guardians and their daughters (students MUST be CMCSI students to attend- no siblings & no sons, please) with the exception of food & snack costs. Frozen Frenzee will be at this event and food items may be purchased from them.
PTO also needs VOLUNTEERS (perfect for Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles)!

We are excited about our CMCSI chorus performing the National Anthem once again at the Gwinnnett Stripers game on May 4th at 6:05 PM. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for this fun event, please use the link below. All ticket purchases must be made using this link. We are thrilled to announce that our school raised $3,746.82 during this year's Kids Heart Challenge /American Heart Challenge program. Thank you parents and families for your generous donations and thanks also to Coach Lord for leading this challenge.
Next week is Volunteer Appreciation Week at CMCSI! If you are volunteering (or have volunteered at CMCSI this year), please stop by the office for a small "thank you" from our students & staff. We could not have such an amazing school without you!

Help us spread the word! We want to honor all Seniors graduating from High School who attended CMCSI! Graduating Seniors (and their parents) are invited to CMCSI on Tuesday, May 21st at 1:00 for a reception and to walk the halls of CMCSI one last time before graduation. Seniors should wear their cap & gown. ALL visitors must bring state-issued ID and sign in at the front office. We look forward to honoring our Warriors on this special occasion.

Students will one again participate in stations and Field Day activities with their homerooms.
Volunteers & visitors will be allowed on Field Days (with state-issued ID; no siblings or non-CMCSI students). More information to come!
Field Days will be May 14th (Kindergarten and First Grade), May 15th (Second and Third Grade), and May 16th (Fourth and Fifth Grade).
Students should wear sunscreen and a hat, bring a towel & water bottle, and wear comfortable shoes & clothes.
Frozen Frenzee will be here all field days and available for purchase for $3 each (more information to come).
We are excited to have Awards Ceremonies to celebrate the hard work of our Warriors this year. Visitors are welcome to attend Awards Ceremonies in the gym, and they will be invited back to classrooms for a class celebration. As with all school events, ALL visitors must bring a state-issued ID and sign in at the front office before the ceremony, so please arrive early. More information will be coming, so SAVE THE DATE!

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is just around the corner. This year our Teachers and Staff will be honored the week of April 29th- May 3rd. Thank you for showing our amazing CMCSI Staff how much you appreciate them!
For the safety of all students, please note the following:
For your child's lunch visit, 1 or 2 adults may join; No school-age siblings and younger children must be in lap or stroller (due to limited seats).
Each student may have a visit for lunch 1 time per month to allow ALL students and parents this opportunity.
Restaurant food will not be allowed to be brought into CMCSI for students or visitors.
Visitors must sign in at the front office with a state-issued ID (no exceptions).
Lunch visitors should eat in the visitor seating area located in the gym lobby next to the cafeteria. Visitors may not eat in the cafeteria, gym or classroom.
After signing in and getting a sticker, lunch visitors will meet their child in the gym lobby as his/her class enters the cafeteria and sign-out in the main office after the lunch period ends.
Lunch visitors may not return to the classroom, playground, etc. with students.
Lunch visitors may have lunch with your child ONLY. Other students (including friends, relatives, and neighbors) cannot join your lunch visit.
Visitors may purchase lunch in the cafeteria for $4.50 each (cash or check only).
Lunch visitors must be listed on a student's enrollment card prior to coming in for lunch.

A La Carte Items at CMCSI
On Warrior Wednesdays our cafeteria will be selling a la carte items (chips, cookies, crackers) for $1. You can send $1 with your child or they can use money from their My Payment Plus account. Students will not be able to charge these items to their account.
CMCSI Spirit Nights take place each month! If your family visits the restaurant or drive-thru on our CMCSI Spirit Night, a portion of the sales will be donated to the school! Be sure to tell the restaurant you are there for CMCSI Spirit Night (for CMCSI to get credit!).
