Due to the massive impact of covid 19 on the american economy, biden proposed a series of policies worth up to 1.9 trillion dollars. The first action biden is planning to take is to increase the stimulus check from 600$ to 2000$

Biden also aims to extend the unemployment insurance duration, so that citizens who were fired do to cuts from covid 19 are able to find a new job without having to worry about money.

Due to (1 in 7) households in america reporting they don't have enough food to eat, Biden plans to implement a 400$ per week supplement to help them provide for their families

The coronavirus has been spreading throughout america at an ever increasing rate

Joe biden proposes that all workers who have symptoms of covid 19 are quarantined

He also says that family members of those with covid should be allowed to stay home with their loved ones and still receive pay. There shouldn't have to be a choice between paying rent and staying by a family members side

Joe biden aims to support the covid 19 response by mounting a $20 billion national vaccine program with the aim of 100 million vaccinations by the end of his first 100 days.

Relief is to be provided to working families affected the hardest and communities that are struggling in the wake of covid 19.

Biden aims to use $50 billion to expand the nations coronavirus testing efforts, including funding for purchasing rapid tests, increasing lab capacity and implementing regular testing for schools and local governments

$30 billion is to be spent on the federal disaster relief fund to insure that the united states has sufficient supplies and protective gear to handle the pandemic, as well as 100% federal reimbursement for critical emergency response resources for local governments and tribes.

He aims to recruit 100,000 public health workers to help distribute the vaccine and trace contacts to help slow down the virus. In the long term these health workers would transition into traditional community health roles.

He says he will ensure that vaccines and supplies to be distributed equitably and that he will expand healthcare services for underserved communities by opening more community health centers and investing in more health services on native american land

He will work with states to identify priority groups for the vaccines, including those over the age of 65 and frontline workers. He aims to create 100 vaccination centers throughout the country

Joe biden aims to provide health insurance coverage to 97% of americans by 2030

Biden also aims to contribute $20 billion for veterans healthcare as well as 4 billion to the substance abuse and mental health services administration and the health resources and services administration to expand access to mental health and substance abuse services.

Biden will subsidize health coverage for those who lose the health insurance provided by their employer through september 30th 2021

He plans to increase the value of the premium tax credit for individual health insurance exchanges to make sure that no one pays more than 8.5 percent of their income for health insurance coverage

He’ll raise and additional $ trillion in tax revenue by increasing the top tax rate to 39.6%, taxing capital gains at normal rates and increasing the tax rate for corporations to 28%

He’ll straight up forgive student loan debt and make college free for those making under 125,000$ a year

He aims to increase minimum wage to 15$ an hour, over two times what it stood at before at 7$ 25c.

He plans to invest 1.4 trillion dollars in infrastructure over the next 10 years as well as spend 2 trillion dollars on clean energy during his first term as president
