The one light at the end of the tunnel for 2020 is the arrival of the next generation of consoles, namely the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5 . The console war between Xbox and Playstation has been going on for years, with gamers on both sides arguing that their piece of plastic and metal is superior to the others.
In 2020, the next generation consoles are both technical wonders, with additions such as raytracing and the ability to play the latest games in 4k up to 120fps. There is one question remaining, however: Which should you buy?
At a glance, The Xbox Series X is the same price as the Playstation 5. These are just the standard editions, however. The PS5 Digital Edition comes in at £350, £100 cheaper than the Xbox series x, and is the exact same as the PS5 except without disk support. The only reason to get the PS5 standard edition over the PS5 digital edition is if you owned a ps4 and want to play your games at a higher framerate and with better graphics. If you never owned a ps4, the ability to play old games is useless and the digital edition is the way to go. On top of the £100 price difference, The PS5 has more impressive exclusives including Spiderman: Miles Morales that you can’t get on Xbox or PC.
