Even though the US election will not be decided until 3rd of November, we can still find out how each candidate is doing by looking at the national polls. However, it is not necessarily an accurate way to predict the results of the elections. The national polls are the best way of finding out how popular the candidates are throughout the country as a whole. For example, in the previous presidential election, Hillary Clinton led the polls by nearly three million votes, but still lost. This is due to the voting system which America uses, which essentially means that winning the most votes doesn’t always win you the elections.
NO, this does not mean that Biden will win the election. As mentioned, winning the national polls does not necessarily mean that you will win the election.
The way you win the election is not based on how many votes you have, but where you win the election. Normally, most states always vote the same way, meaning that the candidates will focus on the more undecided states such as Texas, Florida and North Carolina.
At the moment, things do actually look good for Joe Biden, although it is quite tight in many states. Meaning that although Biden looks to be in the lead, the president could come out on top.
