Grades 2-4 at Central School
Music class is a vital component of a student's education that enhances cognitive skills and emotional well-being. Numerous studies suggest that music education bolsters creativity and improves self-esteem. Our music classes also aim to provide students with unique opportunities to collaborate, experiment, and express themselves.
Students can expect an organized classroom with consistent routines. To give all students positive musical experiences, we incorporate engaging activities into our classes, including singing, dancing, discussing, listening, learning instruments, and more. These activities benefit students in their lives outside of school, as they teach our students how to practice a skill, communicate effectively, and think critically. Most importantly, our music classes are jam-packed with lots of fun! We want our students to walk out of music class having learned a valuable skill or piece of information, but leaving class with a smile is just as important.
Our curriculum includes, but is not limited to, learning about instrument families, singing, dancing, rhythm reading, music history, and cultural music.
