Only open to 5th graders
Have you ever wondered what it felt like to perform your instrument in front of a crowded football stadium? This might be the event for you! Our Band Buddies football game is an annual event where students in grades 5-8 get to play pep tunes in the bleachers along with the high school marching band. At halftime, we will take the field and "open" for the high school marching band by playing a pep tune. After watching the marching band from the field level, we all enjoyed ice cream sandwiches to reward an evening of hard work, learning, and fun!

Open to all band students
Watching the Memorial Day Parade down Kings Highway is always a treat, but performing in it is even better! All band students are invited to march and play their instruments in the Memorial Day Parade alongside band students from all across the district. After meeting at the high school, students make their way to Saxbys, which is where we begin our parade route. As we march down Kings Highway, we will perform "Freedom March," a patriotic tune written by our high school band director, Mr. Janney. After the parade, we enjoy root beer floats at the high school, which is one of our most cherished traditions in the band program.
