Miss. DeLoach's Welcome Letter
Hello Central Elementary School Community! My name is Elizabeth DeLoach, and I am thrilled to join Central Elementary School as a First Grade Teacher. My goal as an educator is to inspire and create lifelong learners who have a passion for learning and growing each and every day.
I am a recent graduate of West Chester University (Rams Up!) where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Grades Preparation with a minor in Literacy and was selected for the Outstanding Teacher Education Senior award. I completed my student teaching through a Professional Development School Internship Program in the West Chester Area School District. Through this internship, I was able to spend a full year observing and teaching in a first-grade classroom. This experience made me fall in love with first grade, and I knew in my heart that first grade was where I belonged.
I have had the opportunity to work with children in numerous ways throughout my college career. I worked as a Before and After Care Teacher for two years through the West Chester Area School District, as well as a Summer Camp Counselor for Kingsway Regional School District’s CER Summer Camp for the past three years. I have also participated in research on critically engaging with and advocating for diverse representation in children's literature used in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy participating in the marching arts and being involved in color guard. I have performed in numerous award-winning groups, including the Kingsway Regional High School Marching Band, the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, Main Line Independent, and the Reading Buccaneers. My favorite performance opportunity was performing in the 2024 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California! Color guard has taught me extremely valuable life lessons that I carry with me into the classroom.
I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Haddonfield community and joining the Central Elementary School family. Go Cheetahs!
