Miss Celluzzi's Welcome Letter
Hi Central Cheetahs! My name is Ali Celluzzi and I am so excited to join the Central community as a First Grade teacher this year!
I grew up in Moorestown and graduated from Moorestown High School in 2016. I then attended Loyola University Maryland, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I graduated at the peak of the pandemic and chose to stay in Maryland. For the past four years, I have taught second grade right outside of Baltimore. At my previous school, I was involved in many committees, including our Leadership team, Equity team, and Student Support team. This past year, I served as our school equity liaison, where I was responsible for holding school-wide professional development sessions on trauma-informed classrooms and behavior management. Additionally, I earned my Master’s this past May in Educational Leadership and Administration from McDaniel College. What brings me back to New Jersey? Most of my family and friends still live in the state, and I was ready to be closer to them. 😊
When I am not in the classroom, I am usually spending time with friends and family. In the summers, I try to spend as much time as possible at the beach, especially in Ocean City, NJ. I love traveling, making crafts, and playing golf. Growing up, I was an avid dancer and was involved in theater, so I enjoy attending community theater productions when I can. I am also a dedicated Disney adult, a huge Flyers fan, and an iced coffee enthusiast.
Ever since I was in elementary school I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I had the privilege to be taught by dedicated and inspiring educators. They taught me how to believe in myself and persevere through problem-solving. The way my teachers built my confidence and passion for learning ignited my desire to make others feel the same when I grew up. As an educator, I strive to build positive relationships with my students and make learning fun while also holding them to high expectations. I am so looking forward to sharing my passions with the Central community.
I am looking forward to collaborating with staff, connecting with students, and partnering with families throughout this school year. I am “roar-ing” with excitement - if you can’t tell!
