WELCOME!
After your new hire process is completed, it’s time for the onboarding process to start! We welcome you to HACC and are excited for you to begin your teaching assignments.
After our systems administration team creates your myHACC account and HACC email address, your department’s administrative support will contact you via email with activation and login instructions.
All faculty are expected to provide their HACC email address to their students. It is expected you check your HACC email regularly. Per Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities, you must respond to email and telephone calls within two (2) business days.
Faculty cannot forward their HACC email to their personal or other work emails due to security issues. Please check your HACC email often for updates from your dean, department chair, discipline lead or administrative support. Important and often time-sensitive information is sent to instructors through their HACC email. This includes college information, calendar or schedule changes, and student concerns. Many of these emails need a prompt reply.
We use Outlook as our email provider. It can be accessed through myHACC here:
Multi-Factor Authentication is now also required to be set up during the employee's initial logon. You will need to install the official Microsoft Authenticator App onto your smart device. Links to the app can be found below:
Microsoft Authenticator for Android
Microsoft Authenticator for iPhone
Instructions for MFA enrollment can be found here.
If you need any assistance with your myHACC account, HACC email address, or setting up multifactor authentication, please contact User Support.
Employee ID Badge and Parking Passes
After your employee ID is created, your administrative support will provide you with a completed Employee ID Badge Issuance form. You may use it to obtain your HACC Employee ID card and parking pass at the Department of Public Safety and Security at any of our campuses. You will need a to bring your completed Employee ID Badge Issuance form and a government issued photo ID. Please use your driver's license and bring your car registration to obtain your parking pass, too.
HACC has a system of card readers that grant access to rooms and buildings by swiping your HACC ID through the reader. Your department administrative support will request necessary access for you. If you find you need additional access to campus spaces, please contact your administrative support.
Act 15
HACC complies with Pennsylvania Act 15 of 2015, which requires background clearances of those working with individuals under the age of 18. Due to HACC's dual enrollment high school student population, instructors are required to provide appropriate Act 15 clearances to be eligible to teach. These are due every five (5) years and are first submitted as part of the onboarding process. Any course assignment is contingent upon acceptable Act 15 clearances.
