Sample Lesson Plan

Hi! Welcome to the second asynchronous exercise for our Training of Trainers.

For this exercise, we'll create a simple lesson plan that we can use as a sample to show the teachers we will train on how they can use Sibika.ph resources.

For this asynchronous and self-paced exercise before the next session, we will be accomplishing worksheets on the Learner Journal as we go through the instructions on this page. Please do check your personal journal on our drive as we've added new sheets to your personal Learner Journal, and do not hesitate to contact us if your journal isn't updated or if you have any questions.

By the way, your outputs from this exercise will be collected and have a chance to become part of the featured resources on Sibika.ph! We look forward to seeing your work :D

Step 1: Review

Think about what sample lesson you want to create - review your past lesson plans, make a new one, or visit Sibika.ph and browse the materials to get inspiration.

Step 2: Fill in the Activities

Think about the kinds of activities you want to implement in a class and write down the steps or mechanics for the activity. Here's an example of a filled in worksheet:

Step 3: Develop reflection prompts

Step 4: Connect activities to the larger concept

Connect the activities to the larger concept or lesson you wish to teach. Here's an example of filled out sheet:

Step 5: Concretize learning through application

Introduce an application of the concept through another activity or exercise, as a way for learners to practice Here's an example:

On the last worksheet, devise an assessment strategy as an opportunity to evaluate the learning from the application activity Here's an example:
