All S4 pupils receive a one-to-one Careers Conversation with a qualified careers adviser. These are scheduled to take place between September and the Christmas holidays. As preparation for this conversation, pupils complete four quizzes in Unifrog, our school careers platform. These quizzes are short, interactive activities that help pupils explore their interests, personality, preferred work environment and skillset. Following pupils’ S4 careers conversation, some notes of the meeting will be shared with the pupil via the unifrog platform.
All S5 pupils receive a one-to-one Careers Conversation with a member of the Careers team to assist them as they think about post-school destinations and potential career options.
All S6 pupils have an S6 Tutor (a member of teaching staff) who will support them if they choose to make a UCAS application to university or an application to a conservatoire. The careers team support pupils with other post-school destinations (college, apprenticeships, employment and gap years). The careers team also check all S6 applications and are on hand to support pupils throughout the year with their post-school plans.
Any pupil wishing to discuss their career aspirations and options is also invited to contact the careers team at careers@gwc.org.uk
