BACKGROUND
Read Like a Writer--read the story once through for understanding. Don't skip the notes on the right side. On the second read, pay attention to how the author creates their argument. Are they a credible (reliable) source? Do they use strong evidence to support their claim? Do they address the counterclaim? Do they include irrelevant evidence? Use these questions to determine whether or not the author created a convincing argument.
NONFICTION READING
Read one of the stories below on Actively Learn. Answer each of the questions also.
Revise your "Bug-Out Bag" or "Hampster City" story one more time. Don't forget that it's linked in Google Classroom under 03/25/20 Lesson (writing). Use blue font this time. Make sure to use the revision tips offered in the Slides. You'll notice that word choice and sentence fluency have been added. This is the last time for revision.
Since we don't have school on Friday for the Easter break, it's time for BINGO. Pick a new square (different from last week). Do the activity--follow directions carefully. Post your work on Padlet. Students, the activities are the same, but don't forget that 7A and 7B have different Padlets. Make sure to use the correct one.
No school today.
