BACKGROUND
Read Like a Writer--read the story once through for understanding. Don't skip the notes on the right side. On the second read, pay attention to how the author put the story together: description, pacing (how long/how many events to the climax/turning point), and how the author uses word choice. These are techniques you can mirror in your own writing.
READING
Read one of the stories below on Actively Learn. Answer each of the questions also.
Open the revision document. Chose which area you need to revise on your story from last week (Bug-Out Bag or Hampster City). When you revise, make the text red. This is for two reasons. First, your ELA teacher can tell where you worked. Second, you can see the changes on your story.
