Progression in History

The History curriculum at Gurnard has been carefully planned to develop children's knowledge and skills across year groups. Through careful mapping, we have ensured that children are given the understanding that they will need to progress within the subject. Using the progression map below, we have carefully scaffolded learning so that learners will develop and strengthen the essential skills of the historian.
