The program curriculum consists of 120 credits (colloquium - 1, colloquium - 2, colloquium - 3, theoretical / experimental research, completion and protection of thesis) and compulsory elements of training components - 60 credits, 20 credits of which are dedicated to the PhD program are elective.
After acquiring of an educational program doctoral student will have knowledge based on modern international achievements in field of urban development, which will make him be able to use innovative methods in professional activities. Doctorate will be able to understand and evaluate processes, events and problems in the conditions of urbanization and globalization based on acquired knowledge;
To emphasize the role of urban development according to universally recognized principles of sustainable development;
Ddoctoral student of urbanism can develop innovative research and analytical approaches oriented towards creating new knowledge. He awares urban science as a place of science in the modern system of knowledge and interdisciplinary character. He is integrated into the international scientific network, which provides him be involved in international scientific conferences and forums during learning process.
The Doctoral student of Urban Studies will be able to conduct multidisciplinary research on the basis of wide vision, deep and systematic knowledge, urban spatial arrangement of urban areas, ecological environment, green architecture and sustainable urban environment.
Doctoral student of urbanism will acquire such skills as innovative, analytical methods of urban development, independent planning and implementation of research.
Doctoral student will be able to conduct studies in a specific directions- towards spatial arrangement of country and its urban areas, organizing urban transport, protected ecological environment, green architecture and sustainable urban planning,will be able to present conception of urban development and services, based on scientific analysis, to demonstrate new directions, to develop supporting researches for urban strategies, develop and submit relevant recommendations.
The doctor of urbanization will be able to: analyze and criticize independently data of doctoral research;
to evaluate properly and justify this assessment;
to summarize own and new research with all logical reasonable arguments, to make clear conclusions;
to analyze critically and assess new, complex and controversial problems and approaches in urban development;
to interpret the obtained data from urban positions; to establish assessment criteria and present the hierarchy of priorities of the problems;
to receive independently an argumentative and efficient decision of solving some urban problem; to obtain necessary information and formulate the conclusions based on its critical analysis and develop practical ideas.
