12 ოქტომბერს საქართველოს ტექნიკურ უნივერსიტეტში ჩატარდა პირველი საერთაშორისო კონფერენცია "უმაღლესი განათლების ინტერნაციონალიზაცია: სტრატეგიები და გამოწვევები - IHE 2017" (Internationalization in Higher Education: strategies and challenges). კონფერენციის ორგანიზატორები იყო სტუ-ს არქიტექტურის, ურბანისტიკის და დიზაინის და ბიზნესტექნოლოგიების ფაკულტები.

09 სექტემბერი 2017: პირველი საერთაშორისო კონფერენცია - IHE 2017 თემაზე ,,უმაღლესი განათლების ინტერნაციონალიზაცია: სტრატეგიები და გამოწვევები“.

საქართველოს ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტი, როგორც პროექტის კონსორციუმის წევრი მონაწილეობს ევროკავშირის მიერ დაფინანსებულ TEMPUS-ის პროგრამის RETHINKe-ის (Reform of Education Thru International Knowledge exchange) პროექტში (54417 8-T EM PUS-1-2013-1-PT-TEMPUS-JPCR, საგრანტო ხელშეკრულება 2013-5076), რომელიც ითვალისწინებს ურბანისტიკასა და არქიტექტურის სადოქტორო ინგლისურენოვანი ორმაგი ხარისხის პროგრამების შემუშავებას გაძლიერებული გარემოს დაცვის კომპეტენციებით.

აღნიშნული საგრანტო პროექტის „განათლების რეფორმა ცოდნის საერთაშორისო გაცვლის საშუალებით (Reform of Education Thru International Knowledge exchange)“ ფარგლებში 2017 წლის 12 ოქტომბერს არქიტექტურის, ურბანისტიკის და დიზაინის ფაკულტეტი და ბიზნესტექნოლოგიების ფაკულტეტი ატარებს პირველ საერთაშორისო კონფერენციას - IHE 2017 თემაზე ,,უმაღლესი განათლების ინტერნაციონალიზაცია: სტრატეგიები და გამოწვევები“, Internationalisation in Higher Education: strategies and challenges IHE 2017.

სადოქტორო პროგრამის აკრედიტაციის პროცესის ფარგლებში შედგა შეხვედრა ექსპერტების ჯგუფთან, რომლებმაც მხარი დაუჭირეს აღნიშნული პროგრამის განხორციელებას.

კომისია შედგებოდა 6 ადგილობრივი და ორი უცხოელი წევრისგან. კომისია უახლოეს მომავალში წარადგენს პროგრამის საექსპერტო შეფასებას.

09 Sep 2017: International Conference "Internationalisation in Higher Education: strategies and challenges IHE 2017.

Georgian Technical University is actively participating in RETHINKe (Reform of Education Thru International Knowledge exchange) Project financed by European Union TEMPUS Programme and coordinated by FAUL - Faculty of Architecture at Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal). Program is supported and co-founded by the TEMPUS Programme RETHINKe of European Union in frame of RETHINKe project No. 544178-TEMPUS-1-2013-PT-TEMPUS-JPCR. The project objective was to develop new PhD Program in Urbanism with Environmental Protection competences and with the possibility to be issued by Double Degree Diploma.

RETHINKe Project aims at improving of education and science quality and its sustainable development, integration in EU area. Within the framework of the mentioned grant project Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planing and Design and Faculty of Business Technologies conducts the First International Conference "Internationalisation in Higher Education: strategies and challenges IHE 2017" on 12th of October, 2017 in Tbilisi.

In the framework of accreditation process of the program a group of six Georgian and two international experts conducted interviews with program supervisor and academic staff. The commission expressed support for the program. In the nearest future the commission will present evaluation do

Double DIPLOMA

New double (Master and PhD) Degrees with “CO2THINK+transdisciplinarity” approach on the areas of Architecture/Urban Planning and Environmental Sciences/Climate Engineering.

Mission:

For Innovation/Business network creation.
To have double effect on the modernisation of Curricula
To create knowledge triangle “Education/research/innovation”
To respond to the regional priority “Environment” and to contribute to Global warming mitigation
To contribute to the perfecting of the management/administrative skills
To enhance the international collaboration - bridge-building function.

Activities:

1. SWOT analyses of Curricula of the PC HEIs

2. Development and implementation of Curriculums for the following Programs with Double Degree ability:

PhD Program in Urbanism. Qualification –Doctor in Urbanism;
PhD Program in Architecture;Qualification – Docture in Architecture;
Master Degree Program in GEO-Chemistry and Environmental Protection. Qualification – Master in Natural Sciences.

3. Teachers Mobility;

4. Students mobility;

5. Development of Students thesis;

6. Preparation of teaching Materals;

7. upgrading PC HEIs English language skills

8. Technical Support of the Programs

9. Preparation of QAS Guidelines for the PC HEIs

10. Preparation of Double Degrees for evaluation/accreditation in EU Countries

Activities

The first training course in English language was conducted from 01.11. 2016 till 01.01.2017. There were four groups(See Appendix 1) with different levels of knowledge. Three groups were on level A1+ and one group was on level –B1+.

The teaching course for three groups with level A1+ was conducted by the following books:

a) Student’s Book, Laser A1+ by Malcolm Mann, Steve Taylore-Knowles;

b) Workbook with Key, Laser A1+ by Malcolm Mann, Steve Taylore-Knowles ;

The teaching course for the group with level B1+ was conducted by the following books:

a) Student’s Book, Laser B1+ by Steve Taylore-Knowles;

b) Workbook with Key, Laser B1+ by Terry Jacovides, Anne Vebel;

The second training course in English language was conducted from 15.01. 2017 till 15.06.2017. There were two groups(See Appendix 12) with the same level of knowledge. Their level of knowledge was B1+.

The teaching course for two groups with level B1+ was conducted by the following book: Macmillan, Open Mind, Intermediate Student’s Book B1+, Premium Pack by Mickey Rogers, Joanne Taylore-Knowles, Steve Taylore-Knowles.
