The activities in this ebook cover many of the general outcomes for plant growth and changes.
Diary of a Flower: Students will create an ebook that describes plant life cycle.
Students will sort plant pictures to discover four different plant parts; students will also begin completing a note-taking graphic organizer which will be used to record future information about the purpose of each plant part.
Students will create a screencast explaining the purpose of plant roots, stems, leaves and flowers.
Students will use Google Slides to animate the process of photosynthesis to reinforce their understanding of the requirements and products of photosynthesis. Students should include the components for photosynthesis (requires light energy, water, carbon dioxide, and chlorophyll) and the products (Glucose, Oxygen).
This cross-curricular project (Math, Science, Language Arts) will have students pretend to enter a district wide ‘Schools in Bloom’ contest. Students will design garden beds, find their measurements and choose the plants they will hold while considering the plant’s environmental needs to thrive.

Students will complete a cycle of growth of a bean plant and observe and record the changes at each stage.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the life cycle of a plant by creating a flow chart.
Students create a collage with information that describes how seeds are distributed.
